We Help Share Your News and Publicize Your Events

The Engineering Communications Team can help publicize your news and events through our communications vehicles - like Eng-e-News, WEAL, the Annual Report, publications for prospective students, the Engineering home page, and this web site. Read more about our team members below or find out about our publications by clicking on the links to your left.

We'll also share our news and events with University publications like the Daily Bulletin, Waterloo Magazine, and the media relations office as appropriate.

Submit an Engineering News or Event Tip

Send an e-mail to newstips@engmail.uwaterloo.ca, briefly describing your story or event, and it will automatically be considered for all our publications and web sites. We'll follow up with you if we need more information.

As associate director of communications, Gene manages the Engineering Communications team, plans and directs communications strategies and resources for the Faculty.

Communications Officer

As communications officer, Carol edits Eng-e-News and WEAL and works on a wide variety of special communications projects and publications to serve the Faculty's various audiences. Carol manages the Faculty's online news headlines and acts as the Faculty's liaison with the university's Media Relations Office, including identifying faculty experts and spokespeople to meet specific media requests.

Russell is responsible for marketing and recruitment for all Waterloo Engineering undergraduate programs, working on events, publications, and the prospective student web site. Russell works closely with the Engineering communications team, the Engineering undergraduate admissions team, and the UW marketing and undergraduate recruitment team.
