  • WiE Awareness Day

  • Tuesday July 19, 2011
  • First ever Women in Engineering Day to unite and celebrate faculty, staff, undergrads, and grads in a fun-filled afternoon.
  • Celebrations start at
  • 11:30 a.m. till 2:00 p.m.
  • in the POETS patio,
  • where a BBQ will be hosted.Games will start at 11:30 am and all male and female faculty, staff and students are encouraged to come out and mingle. T-Shirts & Bandanas are on sale.
  • This will be followed by the second Women in Engineering Forum at 6:00 p.m. in RCH302.

Looking for volunteers: The Canadian Association for Girls in Science (www.cagis.ca) is a science club for girls aged 7-16. The Kitchener-Waterloo-Guelph chapter organizes monthly events for members involving fun, hands-on activities featuring some aspect of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
